Lili Damita

Lili Damita was a FrenchAmerican actress and singer who appeared infilms between 1922 and 1937.

On the manifest of the SS Bremen, sailing from Cherbourg onSeptember 1929, Damitas age is given as 25, and on the SS Paris sailing from Le Havre, France, onNovember 1934, her age is given as 30, both indicate that she was born in 1904. She later shaved four years off her age, including on her Petition for Naturalization , dated December 17, 1945, which was granted onMay 1946, giving her year of birth as 1908.
